This is a sumptuous recipe that is popular in the state of Punjab since old times. Even other north Indian states prefer to eat makhana in this manner but few people know that this recipe of makhana is good for weight loss and is very effective in helping you shed extra kilos. In a large saucepan, roast 1 cup of makhana with 1 teaspoon of ghee. After it's finished, dump the pan, add 2 cups of skim milk, heat it to a boil, then stir in 2 tbsp of powdered jaggery. After thoroughly stirring, add the roasted makhana. Cook the mixture for 20 minutes over a medium burner. When the milk has thickened, turn off the heat, stir in the chopped nuts, and then serve immediately.

This recipe will teach you how to eat makhana for weight loss use a non-stick pan, and roast 1 cup of makhana with 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil.
